Preheat the broiler. Heat two large skillets over a moderately high heat and brown all of the meat for 5-10 minutes, turning frequently. Drain on paper towels. Fry the tomatoes for 10 minutes, turning once. Melt the butter in a frying pan and cook the mushrooms until softened, stirring frequently. Season with the lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Thread the meat onto 6 kebab skewers, placing a mushroom cap at the top of each kebab. Place the kebabs and tomatoes on a roasting rack and place under the broiler for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve with French fries.
